The Japanese Beetle was detected in the Redlands in 2025. For that reason, The Seasons HOA Board and Bookcliff Gardens have decided to be pro-active and treat HOA-managed lawns with a preventative treatment. We also urge homeowners who manage their own turf to apply a treatment, either a DIY available from nursery/lawn centers or use a professional landscape company. The HOA is also pursuing obtaining traps so that early detection of the Beetle can assist in locating hot zones. More information on the Japanese Beetle can be found on the Mesa County website: https://www.mesacounty.us/departments-and-services/natural-resources/noxious-weeds/japanese-beetle-eradication
Free treatment from Mesa County is not available unless you are in a hot zone. The Seasons currently is not in a hot zone, but it is recommended to do a preventive treatment.

Top Features
- Season-Long Control: A single application targets grubs before they hatch, eliminating the need to reapply multiple times throughout the year.
- Broad-Spectrum Pests: While celebrated as the industry standard for grub control, it also controls annual bluegrass weevil (ABW), billbugs, armyworms, cutworms, and bagworms.
- Environmental Safety: Classified by the U.S. EPA as a "Reduced Risk" pesticide, it does not harm beneficial pollinators like honeybees or earthworms.
- Application type: Granular, will be applied on Thursday / June11 to HOA-managed turf lawns.

Using that guideline, pets should be kept off turf lawns in Filing 4 Lots 1-18 along Seasons Drive and Whitetail Lane and the turf lawn in the South Broadway Pine Grove and the street side turf at the South Broadway entrance during the day on Thursday and until Noon on Friday for maximum safety. Humans should also avoid the lawn areas during this time.
